Best student in class

I was awarded the title of best student in my class (Business Informatics) at the University of Applied Sciences VERN' in 2008.

I’m writing this in retrospect, to the best of my memory (19.7.2026).

This was the first time I was rewarded with the title of being the best at something. At the time, it didn’t mean much to me, because I was focused on other things. Still, I remember feeling proud, especially because it was my first year at university. I had moved towns and was living alone for the first time in my life.

A lot had to go right for this to happen. I was lucky to have made good friends, and to find interest in the subjects I was studying. There were courses where I received praise and recognition from my professors, and that meant a great deal to me.

I absorbed as much as I could during that period, and I pushed myself even harder.
